Think again about fish oil
Research has shown that eating oily fish three times a week could help protect the muscles, as well as improving balance and walking speed.
It was also believed that those who took fish oil pills were less likely to suffer from cardiovascular disease, as they relaxed the blood vessels and lowered blood pressure. Now the Journal of the American Medical Asssociation has come up with new findings that suggest these supplements do not protect against heart attacks and strokes.
Never mind – eating fish is still a better option than red meat. These are fish fingers (not the crumbed sticks you buy in packets) – arranged like this as a game for children.
